Long before Alex Ebert was Alexander, or even Edward Sharpe, he was Ima Robot. While some of Alex's later endeavors turned out to be more successful, it was bad timing for Ima Robot fans. 2010's 'Another Man's Treasure' was released just after the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros album came out, but before it hit wide acclaim. Meaning all us Ima Robot fans were so pumped about Ima Robot's first album in 4 years, and hoping for a tour - but then.. 'Home' hit home. Amazing band, amazing song..can't deny that but with it's success Ima Robot likely passed away. I still check the site all the time for a glimmer of hope that Ima Robot will tour again, but now with the more recent success of Ebert's solo album Alexander, that ship may have sailed. On that note, 'Another Man's Treasure' also featured a song called 'Sail'. Both songs were in Lakai's Transworld 2010 Skate and Create video. No surprise there. Those guys have always had good taste in music.
